Made in Scottish wool, designed by Bill Watson, the Heart of the Forest tartan can only be bought from Potomac Leather Company. He designed it with seven shades of green, for different colors of leaves. The brown represents Mother Earth, the rich soil in the forest. The gray is for the bark and the stone outcrops that give the structure to the mountain. The blue is for the fast flowing streams.
We live in a forest in Rappahannock County, (Rappahannock is an Indian word, meaning fast flowing water), Virginia; nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. When this item sells out, it will not be available until the following year.
